New Word Sudoku (Qudoku!) Puzzles for Thanksgiving Day, 11/26/2008

New Word Sudoku (Qudoku!) Puzzles for Thanksgiving Day, 11/26/2008

In honor of American Thanksgiving, today’s puzzles are two more Qudoku© puzzles. For each puzzle set, you get three grids: two are Word Sudoku puzzles; solve them, copying the circled, numbered letters into the third grid – the quote grid – to spell out the hidden quote.

The first Qudoku puzzle set presents a quote about the meaning of Thanksgiving from American President John F. Kennedy:

DUMPLINGS
9x9 Qudoku Word Puzzle
Each row, column, 3x3 square and group of circled squares contain the letters in the anagram exactly once
Copy letters in circled cells to the matching numbered cell in the quote

ABORT CHEW
9x9 Qudoku Word Puzzle
Each row, column, 3x3 square and group of circled squares contain the letters in the anagram exactly once
Copy letters in circled cells to the matching numbered cell in the quote

The second Qudoku puzzle set, much more light-hearted, comes from American humorist Erma Bombeck:

DO KETCHUP
9x9 Qudoku Word Puzzle
Each row, column, 3x3 square and group of circled squares contain the letters in the anagram exactly once
Copy letters in circled cells to the matching numbered cell in the quote

WAVING MRS

Solutions first thing in the morning. Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanks,
--Dave
