Mobilizing the power of people to create change…"
Today is the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. This year’s theme, from http://www.earthday.net/earthday2010, is "Help create a Billion Acts of Green™"—as the official Web site puts it, "mobilizing the power of people to create change by taking small steps in our homes, our schools and our businesses that add up to an enormous collective action."

Today’s the Global Day of Action, using our collective force as members of The Green Generation™, we’re encouraged to take action on global warming, renewable energy and a green economy. This coming Sunday, 4/25, is the Global Day of Celebration. The Earth Day Network has organized events in 40 major cities around the world, the biggest expected to be on the National Mall in Washington, DC.

Today’s quote comes from the Green Manifesto that Earth Day supporters are urging everyone to sign—mobilizing the power of the world one person at a time.
