New KeyWord Qudoku Puzzle for Monday, 2/1/2010

As promised, today we begin a series of a new kind of Qudoku puzzles I call KeyWord Qudoku. As you’ve undoubtedly discovered by visiting this blog over the past two years, a "Qudoku" puzzle is a combination of one or more Word Sudoku puzzles and a quote grid; when you solve the Word Sudoku puzzles, you copy circled-and-numbered letters to their corresponding cells in the quote grid, (perhaps slowly) spelling out a quote. In past months, we’ve used quote grids to pay tribute to famous speakers; remember memorable phrases; and commemorate notable events, programs and/or birthdays.

Today we’ll use the quote grid to spell out a series of common sayings, each using the same keyword. Only: I won’t give you the keyword.

Your job is to solve the Word Sudoku puzzles; transfer the circled-and-numbered letters into the quote grid to spell out the various slogans; and then GUESS the common keyword!

Over the next two weeks, I’ll provide you ten KeyWord Sudoku puzzles. See how you do!
