Yesterday’s extra and complex Qudoku puzzle set (four Word Sudoku puzzles and three quote grids) spelled out three different definitions of the same word, each in limerick form.
The definitions came from www.oedilf.com, “The Omnificent English Dictionary in Limerick Form,” and each defined the word avoirdupois, a system of weights and measures based on a 16-ounce pound.
The cute trick here (well, at least I thought so!) was that the limericks pronounced avoirdupois differently. The original French pronunciation has been Anglicized!
Thanks,
