Every Sunday I present you my Sunday Challenge, a bit more difficult Word Sudoku puzzle--a 12x12 grid with internal 3x4 rectangles and a 12-letter hidden word or phrase.

Today’s puzzle is based on the letters in the anagram LED RANCH TWIG.

If I remember correctly, he published his first crossword when he was 15. Since everybody I know is taking this day off in addition to yesterday, I decided to continue the New Year’s theme one more day, with another Qudoku© puzzle. In a Qudoku puzzle set, I give you one or two Word Sudoku puzzles; solve them, copying the circled, numbered letters into the quote grid to spell out the hidden quote.

Both Word Sudoku puzzles supplying the letters to today’s anonymous quote use an 8x8 grid, with 2x4 internal rectangles.

In honor of New Year's Day, today’s puzzles are two more Qudoku© puzzle sets presenting thoughts about the meaning of New Year's .

For each puzzle set, you get two or three grids: one or two are Word Sudoku puzzles; solve them as usual, copying the circled, numbered letters into the final grid –- the quote grid – to spell out the hidden quote.

The first puzzle set presents a quote from poet Edith Lovejoy Pierce.
