New Word Sudoku (Qudoku!) Puzzles for New Year’s Day, Thursday, 1/1/2009

In honor of New Year's Day, today’s puzzles are two more Qudoku© puzzle sets presenting thoughts about the meaning of New Year's .

For each puzzle set, you get two or three grids: one or two are Word Sudoku puzzles; solve them as usual, copying the circled, numbered letters into the final grid –- the quote grid – to spell out the hidden quote.

The first puzzle set presents a quote from poet Edith Lovejoy Pierce.
