Sunday Challenge: New Word Sudoku Puzzle (Oxy-doku!) for Sunday, 10/5/2008

Sunday Challenge: New Word Sudoku Puzzle (Oxy-doku!) for Sunday, 10/5/2008

We’re still on our theme of oxymoronic Word Sudoku puzzles, in a format I call “Qudoku” puzzles. Today, since it’s Sunday and you (hopefully) expect the Sunday Challenge, we’ll take on oxymorons that use 12x12 Word Sudoku puzzles to supply the necessary letters.

Here we only need one Word Sudoku puzzle to supply enough letters for the quote. But it’s a 12x12 grid with internal 3x4 rectangles, so it’s a bit more difficult than the classic-sized 9x9 grid with 3x3 internal squares.

TERM: SPIN & FOLD

Sunday Challenge #1
12x12 Qudoku Word Puzzle
Each row, column, 3x4 rectangle and group of circled squares contain the letters in the anagram exactly once
Copy letters in circled cells to the matching numbered cell in the quote
---------------------------------------------------------

FINE MALT JUDO

Sunday Challenge #2
12x12 Qudoku Word Puzzle
Each row, column, 3x4 rectangle and group of circled squares contain the letters in the anagram exactly once
Copy letters in circled cells to the matching numbered cell in the quote

Solutions first thing in the morning. We’ll continue our tour through different sized Oxymoronic Qudoku puzzles tomorrow, going back to the usual 9x9 grid.

Thanks,
--Dave
