New Word Sudoku Puzzles for Wednesday, 4/1/2009

Today is April Fool’s Day, the day when practical jokes abound. The Portland, Oregon radio station KINK FM (101.9, http://www.kink.fm/) is well-known for having staged some well-conceived and absolutely hilarious fake news stories on this day in years past. And of course, over many years the TV game show The Price is Right (http://www.cbs.com/daytime/the_price_is_right/) has been rather infamous for doing something to freak out a contestant. See what host Drew Carey does today! The show brought back the hoaxing tradition when he became the new host.

To celebrate this day, I present you two Qudoku word puzzle sets, each spelling out a quote. The first puzzle set with three Word Sudoku puzzles spells out a quote by Mark Twain. You'll notice the twist immediately: the three Word Sudoku puzzles are all different sizes!

CATHEXIS

FRUMPY

Today’s second quote about fools comes from American writer Max Eastman (1883–1969). Here both Word Sudoku puzzles supplying the necessary letters are the same size.

JUMPS OVER

Solutions in the morning.

Thanks,
--Dave
