New Word Sudoku (Qudoku!) Puzzles for Thursday, 5/14/2009

We had fun for the past couple of weeks exploring a series of quotes, so I thought I’d do it again. This time, though, we’re going from the reasonably sublime, "words to live by," to the utterly ridiculous: the top 5 breakup lines.

Emma Taylor and Lorelei Sharkey form the backbone of the Web site EmAndLo.com; they cheekily bill themselves as the Emily Posts of the modern bedroom. They’ve co-authored six books on sex and love, and write for the who’s who of popular magazine titles: Glamour, Slate, Men’s Health, Cosmo, Details, etc. They’re online advice gurus who blog on their own Web site a couple of times a day on sex, love and anything that strikes their fancy. And it’s obvious that they have an absolutely great time -- and often an hilarious time -- doing it.

I came across a couple great articles on EmAndLo in mid March, which I’ll turn into fun Qudoku puzzle sets over the next two weeks. The first series is the top 5 breakup clichés (http://www.emandlo.com/2009/03/the-top-5-breakup-cliches/); the second is the top 6 breakup lies (http://www.emandlo.com/2009/03/the-top-6-breakup-lies/).

Emma and Lorelei write in their article that there are certain "dumper" phrases that are so common, they convey nada: They’ve become empty clichés. Here’s the first one.
